What we do

Scale OS covers the full path from first customer to program of record. Most clients start with one of the four lines of effort below and expand as the work demands.

Market strategy and buyer mapping

Who has the requirement, who has the money, who signs, and in what order to approach them. We map the program offices, the funding lines, and the gatekeepers for your specific product, and tell you plainly where you fit and where you don't.

Best for: companies with a working product and no clear Department of War customer yet.

Representation and business development

We carry your product into the rooms — program offices, operational units, the medical and special operations conference circuit, primes and integrators — as your outsourced business development lead, with the credibility of someone who sells there every week.

Best for: small teams that can't yet justify a full-time defense BD hire.

Funding and vehicle strategy

SBIR and STTR, STRATFI and TACFI, APFIT, OTAs, BAAs, and the sole-source and catalog paths most companies never hear about. We pick the route that fits your product and stage, and sequence it so one award sets up the next.

Best for: companies approaching the end of a Phase II, or sitting on a pile of pilots.

Capture and response support

RFI and sources-sought responses, bid or no-bid calls, teaming, and the shaping work that gets your language into the requirement before it becomes a solicitation.

Best for: a live opportunity with a deadline on it.

HOW AN ENGAGEMENT RUNS

  1. AssessmentTwo weeks. We take your product, your pipeline, and your prior Department of War contact and come back with a written read: where the real demand is, which doors are worth your time, and what we'd do first.
  2. PlanA target list with names, a funding and vehicle sequence, and a calendar of the RFIs, BAAs, and events that matter in the next twelve months. You can run it yourself or have us run it.
  3. ExecutionRetained monthly. We work the plan, you get a weekly operations update, and we stay on until there's a contract action — or until it's clear there won't be one, which we will also tell you.
